Performances and Events

Sing! Choirs have been performing for many years since we began in 2011, and enjoy a wide variety of performance opportunities, including many supporting local charities and community events.

Here are all our upcoming events and performances, as well as information about some of the ones we have done previously.

Do check back to keep up-to-date with our adventures during LockDown!

LockDown Singing - find out what we have been doing since March with the most recent first.

"Sing! At Home"

As we look forward to our "Sing! At Home" sessions starting in September, following our "Summer Sings" in August, it is always nice to look back and reflect on achievements during this very difficult time.

We have raised £6973.75 for charity, mainly Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, since we started singing online towards the end of March, and are continuing to raise funds too - you can support All In Sound and their dementia choir by clicking here.

We have also learnt so many new songs (and can't wait to hear them in "real life"!) as well as re-visited old songs;

We have welcomed new people into our virtual choir room, and look forward to meeting them in person in the future;

And we have looked out for each other - a hello and a wave each week, checking in, and lots of smiles too. #choir #community

If you would like to join us for a Sing! At Home please Contact Us and we would love to welcome you - there are no auditions, and you don't have to record yourself but everyone is welcome to if they wish to!

Take care, Stay safe.

Bridge The Gap

In previous years we have sung for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity at their Bridge The Gap walk but as we can't this year we are featuring in the podcast that goes to every walker!

Our MD Kathryn has put together a video to accompany the podcast section that you can hear by clicking here

And if you would like to sign up to the walk then click here - and you may even see some Sing! Choirs members walking too along the way!

"Virtual Elements" - All That Matters

"Virtual Elements" runs alongside our "Virtual Sings" and is for a smaller group, and more like a singing lesson whereby we can focus on individual questions and thoughts.

To celebrate the end of this block of sessions, on 16 August 2020 we released "All That Matters", the song that had been the focus of the fortnightly sessions since April.

You can listen to and watch the song by clicking here  - we hope you enjoy it!

#LetTheChoirsSing Petition

On 5 July 2020 our MD Kathryn started a petition in a bid to raise awareness of the plight of singing in the current Covid-19 crisis.  At the time of writing this, there have been over 12,500 signatures and it has been submitted to Government for review.

You can still sign, share and support by clicking here.

Please do sign so that we can look forward to a safe return to singing with strong guidance for Choir Leaders.

Sing! Choirs @ Work - WINGS

Our next Virtual Video, released on 22 June 2020, came from Sing! Choirs @ Work and their amazing rendition of "Wings".

As always every choir member has to record themselves at home, and send in their recordings and videos or photographs where it is all edited to make what you can see and hear now.

You can see the video by clicking here.

Walk'n'Sing - THANK YOU!

To thank all our supporters we did a video that we released on 7 June 2020, that said "Thank you" as well as announcing the amazing amount we raised which at that point stood at £4358.75!!

To watch the video please click here and the film is accompanied by a Sing! Choirs recording at Abbey Road, as well as featuring our MD Kathryn Rowland on Cambridge 105!

Starshine Virtual Walk'n'Sing!

During our Virtual Walk'n'Sing raising funds for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, on 30 May 2020, we did a video to let people know how we were getting on!  The video was accompanied by a recording Sing! Choirs made at Abbey Road studios in 2018.

You can watch the video by clicking here which also has memories of our Walk'n'Sing in 2019 too!

Something Inside So Strong

On 18 May 2020 we released Something Inside So Strong this time to support our fundraising for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity as we signed up to do the StarShine Night Walk.

You can watch the video here and whilst the fundraising link is now closed you can support All In Sound, and their dementia choir, by clicking here.

Thank you French Friends!

Our next project was to say thank you to our French Friends who were supposed to be visiting us in May, after our visit to them in 2018.  They sent us a beautiful recording so we said lots of thank yous accompanied by both choirs singing in France in 2018, on May 2 2020.

You can watch the video here.

A Calmer Place to Be

We have still been really busy during LockDown and on 23 April 2020 we released a charity single written by our MD Kathryn Rowland.  The single was to raise funds for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity and All In Sound, and raised the amazing amount of £2,500.

You can watch the single by clicking here.

Whilst the fundraising page is now closed you can support All In Sound, and their dementia choir, by making a donation by clicking here.

"Virtual Sing!" - Chasing Cars

All very new and a little bit daunting, after a few weeks of singing online, our MD Kathryn put together a video of footage taken in the online sessions, using the singing from one of our previous concerts, for one of our favourites songs!

The video was released on 14 April 2020, and you see it by clicking here.
